Hey, I’m Aubri.
The founder of Period Promise. As a 12-year-old, I'm tackling period poverty head-on. I assemble and distribute hygiene kits packed with vital menstrual and self-care products for girls and women, all through donations.
My Approach
Collaborative
My approach to tackling period poverty is rooted in community and teamwork. I believe change happens when girls, women, families, and local supporters come together to share resources, raise awareness, and uplift one another. By partnering with schools, shelters, and local organizations, we make sure every kit reaches someone who truly needs it.
Iterative
I tackle period poverty through constant learning, improving, and adjusting as my project grows. Each week, I evaluate what worked, what didn’t, and what girls and women say they need most. With every new bag, donation, or idea, the mission becomes stronger and more effective.
School Access
A middle school found that many girls were missing class because they didn’t have pads or tampons. After providing free supplies in bathrooms, attendance and participation noticeably improved. A small change created a big impact on students’ confidence.
Case Studies
Shelter Support
A women’s shelter reported menstrual products were the least donated but most needed. Many women resorted to unsafe alternatives until hygiene kits were provided weekly. Requests dropped, and women felt safer, cleaner, and more confident seeking resources.
Youth-Led Impact
A 12-year-old noticed classmates struggling with unexpected periods and no supplies. She began making small kits with essentials and extras for comfort. Within months, girls felt supported and stopped missing class due to period emergencies.
